TLDR : Answer Summary
When traveling with a 60-day tourist visa to Thailand, there is a possibility you may be asked for proof of onward travel by the airline. This often depends on the airline's policies, with some airlines being stricter about verifying travel plans before boarding. Travelers have shared experiences of being queried by airlines, including instances where confirmation from a supervisor was required. To avoid any complications, it's advisable to have an onward ticket or proof of travel plans, which can be obtained through various services online, or by purchasing a cheap flight.

iโ€™ve seen them, i would need one for visa application & one for boarding so it would be better to book a cheap flight instead

There are sites where you can buy a flight ticket to show immigration on entry.

You can be asked. You need to check with your airline and find out what their policy is.
