Is it necessary to book an appointment online for visa extension in Bangkok? I’m planning to go tomorrow and just realized next available date on their platform is 26th of July. Need to extend my visa until Friday.

Tried to search group for answers but couldn’t find anything. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
Booking an online appointment for a visa extension in Bangkok is not necessary but is highly recommended to avoid long waiting times. Walk-in queues can be limited, and even if you arrive early, there's no guarantee you will be processed quickly due to the volume of applicants. The IT Square Laksi Plaza office issues approximately 300 queue numbers daily for walk-ins, and this can vary based on demand.

Arriving early doesn't change your processing time. As Robert says, you have to wait when you have to wait. But remember, the IT Square Laksi Plaza temporary office issues 300 queues per day for walk-ins.

Sometimes the queue number doesn't reach 300, sometimes queues are finished within the morning.

Sorry, but waiting times at Immigration Office is not that visa related.

To avoid waiting there is an on-line appointment system, if you did not use it you wait until the persons why arrived before you are served. It takes as long as it takes.

Good luck.

Not needed but helps a lot if you do not want to wait.

@Robert ******
thank you. In this case is it better to queue up before they open to speed up the process?
