TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among community members is that you do not need to show a return flight or proof of 20,000 baht when returning to Thailand with a valid non-O visa. However, it is advised to be prepared in case immigration officials ask for it.

, fail to prepare be prepared to fail. you COULD be asked, so why not just have the proof of funds and onward travel when you stamp in? It is sure better than NOT having it and being asked to produce it.
ok cheers for that it's because when I come back to Thailand. I want to open a bank and then do the 1 year extension based on marriage and didn't want to buy a return ticket
