I just got my Non Immigrant OA visa (yay) out of the Thai consulate General in Los Angeles (super fast turnaround). I paid for the multi entry visa but cannot find whether a reentry permit is still required. Can those who are knowledgeable about this visa confirm for me that a multi entry visa does NOT require re-entry permits each time I leave Thailand over the year length of the visa? Thanks for the sincere and serious replies.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Non Immigrant OA visa, when issued as a multi-entry, does not require a re-entry permit for each departure and re-entry during the visa's validity. Holders can travel in and out of Thailand freely until the visa expires, provided they maintain valid health insurance. To extend stay after the visa expiration, a re-entry permit is needed.

Just before the visa expires a well timed entry (along with qualifying insurance) will get you another year stamp, so, almost 2 years out of that visa. After that final entry you'll need to buy a reentry permit to keep the current permitted to stay stamp.
The Non O-A visa gives you a one year stay each time you enter Thailand within a year if you update your health insurance.
Therefore for your second year stay -after the visa itself is expired- you’ll need a re-entry permit in order to get stamped back in again on your stay.
