ORIGINAL POSTER
I am currently in Australia. I have a Thai retirement extension and re-entry permit that will expire on 31st October, 2019. I will NOT renew the retirement extension.

I am planning on arriving in Thailand on 9th October, 2019 and I will be staying for 60 days.

The Thai embassy in Melbourne, Australia advise that if I enter Thailand on the retirement extension that I can stay in Thailand for up to 90 days. The Thai retirement extension expires on 31st October, 2019?

Can somebody confirm that this advice is accurate.
