I am thinking of applying for a DTV from Vietnam and though I read many posts here I am still unsure whether the 500000 baht have to be in my bank account for 6 months? If not how long? Also, they have to be in one bank account or is it allowed to show several account that together have that sum?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV visa from Vietnam, you do not need to keep 500,000 baht in a single bank account for six months. Instead, it's sufficient to show that at least 500,000 baht is in your account at the end of the application process. However, some applicants have reported that they were required to maintain this balance in a single bank account for the previous three months before applying.
When I applied with Hanoi in November, they wanted to see at least 500k baht in a SINGLE bank account for the previous three months before the application.
I originally planned to apply in Penang, Malaysia last August, but like you, my money was spread over multiple accounts. I moved all the money into one account, waited three months, and applied from Vietnam.
