TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the process for obtaining a Covid extension in Thailand, specifically mentioning the option to book an online appointment at IT Square Laksi in Bangkok. Responses indicate that while an appointment can save time, it is not strictly necessary, as individuals can choose to show up without one. There are implications for European citizens regarding their return travel options, with the consensus suggesting the embassy may not provide letters to allow extended stays.
I am under consideration. It was a hassle tho, I went to IT Square Laksi early but they told me after 2 hours waiting that I need to go Chaeng Wattana because I got 1st extension. Then by that time around 11:00am, I got ticket 200 in Queue, makes me wait until 5pm
You can save time and book an appointment or just show up. Your embassy almost certainly won’t issue a letter to allow you to stay so choose that option.
you can go on the 20th but it might be best to go before in case you run into issues. Almost certainly (if approved) you’ll get a stamp from the day you apply, not added on to your existing stamp so you could lose a couple of days. Be aware that immigration offices around the country will be manic on Monday as they’ve been closed for 5 days. Lots and lots of people will be heading to an office then.
