We have applied for a dtv and it’s been rejected. We applied from Indonesia. During the application my husband had to leave and fly to Canada for work. Could this be the reason why?

You're not supposed to leave the country you applied in, while the visa application is pending. So could be.

Thailand doesn’t know when you leave Indonesia. If they did not ask you for a proof of presence in the country.
