Hi I'm looking for info. My Non-O (Thai spouse) visa expired earlier this month and I've booked a 2 week trip back to Thailand next month for Songkran and following trip, due to work commitments will not be until at least August then Xmas. I haven't kept the required 400K baht in my Thai bank account either. Do you think coming in on a Tourist Visa will draw any red flags at the airport given my passport has many stamps previously with the now expired mutli entry Non-O?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is concerned about entering Thailand on a Tourist Visa after their Non-O (Thai spouse) visa expired. There is a risk of raising red flags at immigration, particularly due to previous stamps from the now-expired Non-O visa. Comments suggest carrying the necessary documentation, including cash, proof of accommodation, and a return ticket, to mitigate potential issues.

Almost certain to raise red flags.

Have the “three proofs” on you. 20,000 baht or equivalent in cash, proof of accommodation and a ticket out of Thailand.

Explain to them that you want to apply for the in country Non O as now nowhere does the multiple entry version anymore.

You’ll probably be fine but will almost certainly be questioned.
