TLDR : Answer Summary
The eligibility for using the fast track service at Bangkok Airport has mixed responses. Officially, it seems the requirement is to be 70 years or older to use the fast lane. However, some travelers have reported being allowed to use the fast track due to age or other circumstances such as requesting additional assistance like a wheelchair. Fast track passes can also be purchased regardless of age, and senior travelers can access this service under specific conditions. It's recommended to inquire on arrival or purchase a service to guarantee access.
A Fast Track Pass pass allows passengers to utilize Premium Lane immigration lines. These are usually reserved only for VIPs, Diplomats, Business and First Class passengers. However, anyone can purchase one online through a licensed agent.
I'm 62, and walk with a limp, which is at it's worst after 20+ hours of flying and layovers. Many times I'm directed to the fast lane. Now I ask, and they usually say yes.
I don't see the point. Arrived last night and there was no one in line, walked right up to the booth. Through in 2 minutes, only to have wait 20 mins for my bag. Only once has it taken more than 15 minutes in about 20 entries.
You can use it even if flying economy it is available for also people over 60 according to an AOT official as he was letting a woman behind me in through the fast track channel or with a disability not just biz or first class
- i join these forums to share my 30year thailand knowledge and gain specific info from others . Incorrect misleading posts like yours serve no purpose and should be deleted β¦the fast track age is 70 β¦
i arrived 2 hours ago, 64 with OX visa and they would not let me go through, pointed to the wall which clearly stated over 70 but i have in the past on occasions been allowed.
have a nice day and fyi mine was not a post but a comment and what I quoted was from an AOT official at the airport so there and now may I please invite you to go get a life and bugger off?!
post or comment - totally misleading . People read these for advice not opinions . If the airport staff mislead you - maybe best to keep it to yourself β¦
Request a wheel chair from the check in counter. Tell them your legs hurt. You will get wheelchairs and the services at all stop. You just tip a 100 B to the Thai helper. He will proceed you thru the fast lane.
don't abuse the system at the cost of people who need it. The more freeloaders, the more the system gets overloaded. It's for people who really need it.
