I have thai and USA passports (dual citizen) bit my husband and kids only have USA. When leaving BKK, the passport control check has a fastlane for Thai passport holders. Can my entire family go with me through that lane? The regular foreign line is like waiting for a disneyland ride 😭

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses whether a Thai dual citizen can take their family, who only hold US passports, through the fast lane for Thai passport holders at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) when leaving Thailand. Various comments suggest that families with children are often permitted to use the Thai fast lane, although the final decision seems to depend on the discretion of the immigration officer.

There's a family lane. Your children should have Thai passports if as a Thai mother, they're your biological children they will automatically become Thais but if born outside of Thailand you need to get them registered.

Over 70 you can go through the fast track lane

I’m sure it’s subjective. I just politely ask the immigration officer if it’s ok. I was able to bring my family with me several times with no problem.

Always allowed though with my wife

My Thai wife was told a few times already to bring me with through the Thai passport lane while I was going through the normal queue. Now I just go with her through the Thai queue and they don't say anything. Nothing. So I would answer Yes.

They never split up families with different passports so you’ll be ok.

I entered Thailand last week at Suvarnabhumi and was actively told to follow my Thai gf through the Thai queue rather than the foreigner queue.

My experience is a few years ago but I have gone through several times with my Thai wife and a few times I was allowed to go with her and a few times we were told absolutely not. Much like everything here is seems to be subject to the whim of whomever is standing in front of you. Perhaps because you have children you’ll get a favorable decision. Good luck.

There is a line for families, which is by far the fastest option for entry.

Never had to wait longer then 5 min at Suvarnabhumi.

you’re lucky then. Last week, it took 90 min to get through. And when check-in counters only open 3hrs prior to flight, plus the airport is a mile long and your gate is in G at the very end, and you haven’t eaten because you were hoping you’d have some time to grab a bite before flight…

It happens. Many people cutting line doesn’t help it move faster 😕
