TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses whether it is possible to obtain a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) for a short 4-week cooking course in Thailand. Responses indicate confusion about the DTV's purpose, suggesting that an education visa may be more appropriate for such a course. There is also mention of the existing 60-day visa exemption upon arrival. Additional comments emphasize that visa requirements vary by embassy, highlighting the need to check specific requirements.
In 2023 and first part of 2024, a certain VIP Thai person who lives and grew up in the US visited his native country multiple times and was on the news…. Then he stopped coming.
the DTV is for both individuals who work remotely i.e. work in thailand for a company other than thai and for a number of soft power options I.e. muay thai boxing , appropriate cooking course agreed with your thai embassy where you apply and a few others.

The classes I looked at were 120 hrs so if you went 20 hrs a month that would be 6 months 55-75,000 baht
Every embassy has different requirements. What someone else got means nothing for you. You need to meet the requirements of the embassy you'll be applying at.
