Here’s one I can’t find having been asked before....
Entry into Thailand on visa exempt 30 day stamp. 30 day tourist extension used. 60 day family extension used. Now on amnesty.
If in possession of an embassy letter for visa extension, AND if successful in gaining said extension, does that then translate into a hard stamp in the passport, which would give the required time in “stamp days” to apply for a non O based on marriage within Thailand?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster inquired about the possibility of converting an embassy-granted extension of stay into a Non-O visa based on marriage in Thailand. According to responses, such extensions cannot be used as a basis for conversion and are intended solely for emergencies.
