TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can buy a car or bike with a DTV visa in Thailand. While you do not need a visa to purchase a vehicle, registering it in your name requires a certificate of residence from Immigration. This certificate typically necessitates completing a 90-day report. Additionally, having a Thai driver's license and funds (preferably in cash) are essential for the purchase process.

Yes, Certificate of residency issued a week after arriving on a DTV and registered a car a few days later.

Even a house or a condo, but not the land.

You buy with cash 😂

No, the seller wants to see money and the registration office wants to see a residents certificate which you will get with any permission to stay or visa which has still 30 days before expiry.

You can if you are paying in cash and don't need a loan. If you need a loan then that's more complicated, you probably can't.

Nah best to use cash

Yes. You can buy a car with a dtv. Did you mean can you get a loan to buy a new car and pay if off monthly?

You don't need any kind of visa to buy a vehicle. But if you want to register it in your name you need a "certificate of residence" from the Immigration. And to get this you need to do a 90 day report first (officially). Since you can stay longer than 90 consecutive days with a DTV the answer is yes, you can. If your local Immigration has different requirements and you face any problems you can use an agent as well.

You don’t need to have a 90 day report done before you can get a residence certificate anymore.

Bangkok CW had that restriction but have now dropped it.
