TLDR : Answer Summary
You and your partner can stay in Thailand for a total of 60 days if you arrive on April 10th, given that your visa is valid for entry. As your visa (entrance ticket) is valid until May 5, 2018, you will be issued an Admitted to Stay stamp valid for 59 days starting from your entry date, making it a total of 60 days. Additionally, you have the option to apply for a further 30-day extension at an immigration office.
I have been here over 3 months, it will really depend on which immigration office you deal with for extensions. Generally there is no problem with extensions, 1900 bhat pet 30 day extension, I came over from Melbourne on a 30 day visa,
Tip - if you dont want to share your passport number you need to cover up all three instances. Also make sure you've got at least 6 months validity left. Im pretty sure M series passports were phased out in 2009.
The VISA (entrance ticket) is valid until 5 May 2018. If you enter before this date you will get an Admitted to Stay stamp with a date 59 days later as your day of entry, which count as day nr 1. So a total of 60 days.
