Can TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) qualify as DTV medical? Anyone tried? Thanks
Answer summary
The discussion revolves around whether Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) can qualify for a DTV medical visa in Thailand. Several users share their experiences, indicating that TRT has been accepted in certain cases alongside other medical treatments. There are mixed opinions about the likelihood of getting the DTV visa based on TRT, with some citing successful applications for various medical needs including hormone therapy, while others express skepticism about the acceptance of self-administered treatments. Overall, it seems that success may depend on the specifics of the application and the current regulations at Thai embassies.

Was part of my DTV medical and got accepted. Success might depend other specifics in your application, on embassy, and on phase of the moon.

It’s just a self administered injection that takes 2 mins. That’s a tough sell since it’s covered pretty much everywhere

and it’s over the country in Thailand

I'm curious why you're saying there's a change in the way medical soft power applications are viewed. I searched the group and I can't find many stories of rejections. I did know about the one case of someone getting the DTV with a single teeth cleaning appointment, but everyone's unique medical needs would make it hard to observe a trend. I do think that applicants prefer to follow the proven formulas like Muay Thai courses, rather than risk an unproven visa path.

Yup, whatever tickles your toes. Although I wouldn't want to go through with it again because I already have a DTV.

as a friend once said to me..."Whatever melts your butter ".

It's only 10,000 Thai baht and a week or two outside of Thailand trying to get the DTV visa for medical reasons, Go for It.

An injection, that you can do by yourself, every 8-12 weeks? Sounds less plausible

you should be doing it more than every 8-12 weeks if you are doing it right.

these people are mad. For baseline treatment the protocol is .5 ml every week to reduce the risk of blood clotting. The typical protocol prescribed by general practitioners is 1 ml every two weeks, but that creates a roller coaster effect due to the half life of the cypionate and/or enanthate molecules, respectively. Can’t say about the patch or creams as they are proven to be less effective. Anyone requiring TRT should seek a men’s health clinic. There are speciality clinics in Thailand that are far more knowledgeable than these but jobs in the comments

not true. Nebido is every 10-14 weeks as TRT.

Anonymous participant 276 Nobody should take medical advice from RFK jr, Chiropractors, Mel Gibson or anonymous people on Facebook. But of course a shady practitioner would like to see you at the clinic twice a week.

Anonymous participant 631 you need to fire your doc if they’re still proposing that…

Daily or every other day. Absolute min 2x per week.

The old pellet or undecaoate treatment is hopelessly outdated
