Has anyone been able to get a DTV where your only source of income is through trading stocks and options on the US stock market?
Answer summary
The possibility of receiving a DTV (Digital Work Visa) in Thailand while trading stocks and options on the US stock market is debated. Generally, applicants must prove they have sufficient funds in a regular bank account (minimum 500,000 baht for three months prior to application). While some suggest that demonstrating active trading as a form of remote work is essential, others argue that income sources may not significantly impact the approval as long as applicants meet the financial requirements. It's also noted that experiences can vary based on the embassy handling the application.

All BS !!!!
There is no income proof required!!!
All you need is to show 500.000 baht or equivalent in the bank for 3 months prior application submission.
Yes it's possible but it depends on how active it is and how you present it, whether you can demonstrate that it is remote work and not simply passive. Because it's not a typical occupation, the bar is probably higher than others. And it may also depend on which embassy applied at. If you search the group you can find posts from people who are approved.
So if your investing with all available capital. You’ll need to divest the required amount and provide the view they’re looking for in your Visa application. After the visa is issued reinvest. Trades are free at my brokerage house.
