Hi everyone! Need some advice regarding the DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) application under the Freelancer/Workcation category. I want to apply from SEA (currently in the region).
Here is my profile. I would highly appreciate your input on my chances and which embassy/consulate would be the best choice for my setup.
1. Professional Proof (The strong part):
* I am a full-time Digital Creator / Influencer with a large personal brand and over 450,000 followers/subscribersacross my social media channels.
* I have a website, active video channels, and I monetize my content by selling digital products (ebooks, audio programs) directly to my audience.
* The catch: I don't have a registered company (no LLC / no sole proprietorship), no active work permit, and I don't issue traditional invoices. Everything is automated.
* I will provide a professional English PDF portfolio with screenshots, links, channel stats, and demographics to prove my brand is real.
2. Financial Proof (The tricky part):
* I have the required funds ready — around $17,000 USD (well above the 500k THB requirement).
* The issue: The main lump sum is sitting as savings on Paxum. I also have an active Stripe account showing consistent payouts/earnings from the last 3–6 months, which go directly into my Revolut account for daily expenses.
* Due to tax and compliance reasons, I absolutely do not want to transfer this $17k USD to a traditional EU/home country bank account just to get a statement. I need to apply using PDF statements from Paxum + Stripe reports + Revolut cashflow history.
My Questions:
1. Given this setup, what are my realistic chances of approval?
2. I am currently looking at Indonesia (Jakarta), Taiwan (Taipei), or Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh). Which of these e-Visa locations is the most "fintech-friendly" and digital-creator-friendly?
3. I heard Jakarta is very strict about traditional 3-month bank histories and might reject Paxum/Revolut. Is that true? Would Taipei or Vietnam be a safer bet for someone relying on Stripe and online payment platforms?
Thanks in advance for any tips, experiences, or recommendations!
