My good friend's wife went to Chiang Wattana Bangkok yesterday (5/11/18) to do a 90 day report for her husband and she was met with the immigration officer getting very angry with her and refused to allow her to do it....Shouting at her that her husband must do it himself...Stating that you must do 90 day report in person now...
Her reply was, I have been doing it for more than ten years...when did this change?
No answer!
Just told to go away and get your husband.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a friend's experience with filing a 90-day report on behalf of her husband at the Chiang Wattana immigration office in Bangkok, where she encountered a hostile officer who insisted that the husband must appear in person. This led to confusion among commenters who confirmed having done similar filings without the requirement of in-person appearances, suggesting that the original post might reflect either a rare incidence or a recent policy change.

I was out at Chaengwattana today and did FOUR 90 day reports (none of them mine :O ) and other than needing two queue numbers (because you can only turn in 3 passports per queue) they didn't ask me one question at all... It sure can't be because of my glowing personality ;) , or dashing good looks :P
Okay, I was out there last week (and indeed every week) with passports filing 90 day reports for people and I have NEVER EVER been asked for anything other than the TM.47, the passport, the previous 90 day report form (if there is one) and the TM.6 departure card.
I go there this thursday and have some 90 day reports to do so I will report back IF there is any policy change out there as far as someone else filing 90 day reports for people.
I can't see any benefit in leaving the topic open as there's nothing to be gained by beating it to death. I mean either the person the O/P is talking about had a one off situation OR there's a policy change.
