I entered Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa Sept 20th. I received a 30 day extension at Chiang Mai immigration that will expire December 20th.
My employer is preparing paperwork for my non B visa, but are not certain it will be ready before December 20th. They told me not to worry, I can apply for a second 30 day extension at immigration in Chiang Mai.
I am worried because I thought only one 30 day extension was possible.
What is my best course of action to stay in Thailand legally?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand on a 60-day tourist visa which was extended by 30 days at Chiang Mai immigration. They are awaiting a non-B visa facilitated by their employer, but there is uncertainty about the timing of its approval before the current extension expires on December 20th. They seek clarity on whether a second 30-day extension is possible, as they were under the impression that only one such extension could be granted.
