hello everyone,

I’m sure the question has been already asked but I can’t find an answer when I’m searching:

(I’m french)

If my VISA end the 10th June, can I leave thailand the same day, and come back the 11th June with a VISA on arrival?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A French citizen can leave Thailand by June 10, without overstaying their visa, and theoretically could re-enter Thailand on the same day. However, as a French passport holder, they are not eligible for a visa on arrival but can enter on a visa-exempt basis for 30 days if approved at passport control.

I believe that the OP has the answers needed and we wish success with planning a reentry into Thailand.

Please stick to the original question which is about when to leave and when can enter Thailand again.

Do NOT use POIPET BORDER CROSSING for ENTRIES into Thailand.

Yes. You have until 23:59, June 10 to leave Thailand without overstaying. And, theoretically, you can enter Thailand even on June 10, too.

As you, as a French passport holder, are not eligible for visa-on-arrival. But you can enter on visa-exempt entry for 30 days if your entry is approved at passport control.

thank you.

When did they change the rules concerning the VISA on-arrival? I thought it was still possible few months ago

, you are mixing Visa On Arrival and visa-exempt. To enter on Visa On Arrival, you need to pay a 2000thb fee at the entry point while visa-exempt entry is free.

the rules haven't changed at all. You're just using the wrong term. Visa on arrival is when you apply for and pay for a visa when you arrive and only a few countries like China and India qualify for this and it only gives you 15 days.

You have previously gotten visa exempt and it's what you will get in the future as well. Visa exempt means you are exempt from needing a visa and have no visa at all.
