Can my friend renew their Non Imm retirement visa and still deposit the 800K now?

Hi all... asking for a friend: Their Non Imm retirement visa with multiple re-entry is expiring in a little less than 90 days. Is it too late to deposit 800K himself? (agent provided previously). If too late to do himself, can any one recommend an agent charging "reasonable" price to handle renewal and 800K in BKK? Pattaya or Chiang Mai are possible if necessary or if significantly less expensive.? Thanks for any helpful info!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether it's too late for their friend to deposit the necessary 800K THB for renewing a Non Imm retirement visa as the visa is expiring in under 90 days. Responses indicate that the funds need to be deposited two months prior to the application for the extension. Due to prior use of an agent, the friend may not qualify for a DIY renewal this year and is advised to either use an agent for the renewal or consider leaving Thailand to reapply for a different visa type.

Sounds like he didn't meet the requirements for the current year 800k 2 months before and 3 months after then never below 400k). Best advice is to leave and start again with a new Non-O.

Interesting scenario.

My friend had to use an agent last year because they had 800k in a kasikorn account but not seasoned.

They are due for extension soon and have not dipped below the 800k since.

Would they be able to DIY at Jomtien immigration or would they need to use the agent again?

Preferably knowledgeable answers but every comment welcome. Thanks

I would go out of thailand and come back only after the extension expires.....come in as visa exempt and start the process again on your own since u already have 800k ....start applying for initial 90days nonO(most office dont need the funds to be seasoned except jomtien) do the 1yr extension when u have less than 30days of the nonO

The ฿800k needs to be deposited 2 months before, you apply for the 12 month extension, the problem is because he used an agent last year, he doesn't meet the financial conditions, for the previous 12 months (didn't have the money in the bank) so most immigration offices, will refuse to do the renewal if doing it himself, the best thing to do is, deposit the ฿800k in a Thai bank account, and use an agent again this year with his own money, and he can then do it himself next year, there are lots of agents in Pattaya, prices are usually between ฿12k and ฿15k (usually a bit cheaper if using your own finances) for the 12 month retirement visa extension, and around ฿4000 for a multiple re-entry permit, the usual recommendations for Pattaya are, Mots services, Tik Tok visa services, Maneerat Visa Service, one stop visa and driving licence, or if in Bangkok, the Thai visa centre are regularly recommended.

The 800k needs to be seasoned for 2 months prior to applying so they have enough time.

However if the previous extension was done through an agent (with the agent providing the finances) then the chances of their local office allowing them to DIY is next to nil.
