Anyone living in chiang mai who has recently renewed a u.k passport could you possibly give me advice on proof of residence? I understand it has to be in English but does it have to be a certificate of residence or could I use a tm30? The address is both in English and thai. Also all my monthly receipts are in English. Haven't go a COE yet as I think I have to do my first 90 day report first, even though I've been here 5 months already (non ed) so won't do that till the 17th of September.
Thanks for any information

TLDR : Answer Summary
A resident in Chiang Mai is seeking advice on what constitutes acceptable proof of residence for renewing a UK passport. The requirements indicate that documentation must be in English, and the individual inquires if a TM30 form could suffice instead of a formal residence certificate. Comments suggest that a TM30 can be used, and a visa stamp may also be accepted for long-term visa holders.

If you are on a long term visa you can just use your visa stamp. If you read the guidance notes it tell you that a visa stamp is fine (even though there isn't an address on it) I used my visa stamp 6 months ago.
