Hello, I am trying to move from a non b to an education visa. After my non b is cancelled, can I leave and come back on a tourist visa while I wait for my education visa? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can switch from a Non-B visa to an Education visa by canceling your current extension of stay at the immigration office. After your Non-B visa is canceled, you are allowed to leave the country and then return on either a 30-day visa-exempt entry or a 60-day tourist visa while waiting for your Education visa documents to be processed.

yes you can. cancel your extension of stay at the immigration office, leave the country and come back either on a 30 day visa exempt entry OR a 60 day tourist visa and then wait for the documents to get processed on your ED visa..

if you are on the initial 90 days entry you got with your Non Immigrant B visa, you can leave the country and apply for another visa.

if you mean you are now on the Extension of Stay based on Working inside Thailand which you got from the local Immigration office, you first cancel your work permit and you cancel this Extension of Stay at Immigration before you leave Thailand.

You might be asked questions why? You changed to an ED visa and coming back on a TR isn't a full conclusion either.
