Can I Apply for an Ed Visa While Holding a Non-B Visa?

Hello all. I was inquring about an ed visa earlier. I called the respective school that will prepare my ed paper work and they said i need to cancel my current non b and go get a tr visa for them to apply for my ed paper works? Is that true? I thought  having a non b  one can apply for the ed visa paper work and then cancel the non b when papers are ready and just go vientianne

just to add. You are on an Extension of Stay, you got this Extension of Stay based on working in Thailand, This means you are allowed to be inside Thailand to work, the day you stopped working is the day you leave Thailand. You can not, as you acknowledged and signed the rules and regulations of the Extension of Stay just walk around in Thailand till a school prepare documents for a new visa. Officially the moment you stop working or handed in your Work Permit you are in Overstay of the Immigration rules, Good luck.

And now that we see this isn't really a visa question but more a dispute between a person who wants to be a student but one who doesn't want to follow the directions from the school they're enrolling in.

The issue is between you and the school.

AND are you on an extension of stay from employment (from the immigration office) OR are you on a Non-B VISA ?

It sounds like they want you OFF the Non-B and on a tourist visa because they're going to get you the 90 day ED visa inside the country from the immigration office.
