Looking for some information / epxerience about whether it is okay to submit bank statements in a language other than English / Thai, i.e. in my case german.

I will be flying to Vietnam soon and want to apply via their online evisa services. Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for an eVisa in Thailand, it's generally required that documents, including bank statements, are submitted in Thai or English. While some embassies may accept documents in other languages such as German if the application is made from your home country, it's safest to confirm specific requirements directly with the embassy you're dealing with. The general consensus among responses indicates that sticking to English or Thai is advisable to avoid any complications.

Thai or English only.

As I understand it, if submitting in your home country, then that language is ok. But if elsewhere Thai or English only I’m afraid.

I checked with the consulate in Frankfurt today and they said the German version would be fine. That matches your assumption :)

It depends on the Embassy. Ask them. My Embassy (Seoul, Korea) accepts documents on English or Thai, only.

General rule of thumb is English or Thai only. That said there isn't too much info on a bank statement that needs to be highlighted, surely your name would be in English similar to your passport name and the balance and account number would be numbers.
