Hello everyone !

I have several questions about the DTV visa.

I would appreciate answers from people who have been through the process & know things, not guesses. Thank you !

1. I am currently a tourist in Thailand, soon I will go to Cambodia / Vietnam. I understood that I can apply for a DTV visa there, even as a tourist, right ?

2. I understood that the DTV visa there (Cambodia / Vietnam) is only online ?

So if I'm in Cambodia, I need to use the Thai embassy in Cambodia website even though I'm not Cambodian citizen ?

3. If I want to use an external visa assistance agency through which I will submit the documents online, is this possible ?

I prefer to submit through an authorized agency that will check all my documents before I send it, so that there are no mistakes and then my visa application money will go to waste...

If you know of an external visa assistance agency that helps tourists apply for a DTV visa in Cambodia or Vietnam,

do you have a name & website address that I can go to there ?

4. My documents (payslips, bank balance, etc.) are not in English.

I understood that the documents should be translated into English, is that correct ?

If so, where is it done in Cambodia or Vietnam? Is there an online service that translates documents that the government will accept ?

I think the translation should be from a professional & authentic body and not a normal Google translation, right ?

*If it is not mandatory to translate documents, write to me. This will greatly facilitate the process.

By the way, if the visa documents need to be translated into English - do I need to send the documents both in my original language & also in English, so that they have the original documents ? Or should only the translators be sent to them ?

I would appreciate clear answers from people who understand the process.

Thank you and have a good day !

Roy

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on questions regarding the DTV visa application process while the user is a tourist in Thailand about to travel to Cambodia or Vietnam. Key points include: 1) Non-residents can apply for the DTV visa; 2) Applications in Cambodia or Vietnam can be done online through the e-visa website, not the embassy; 3) Direct submission of documents is required without using external agencies; and 4) Translation of documents to English may be mandatory, and details about translation services should be verified with the embassy.

There are many. Which one ?
Brandon ************
1) They allowed non-residents to apply before e-visa so likely still allow it.

2) Both Cambodia and Vietnam have switched to e-visa so everything is done online once you arrive in the country. You don't use the embassy website, you use the e-visa website.

3) You can't submit anything through someone else. You apply yourself and upload your documents online directly to the evisa system.

4) Check the embassy website for their requirements. It should say what language documents must be in.

Hello. I'm in the e-visa website. There is no information in what language documents must be in. any idea where can I find info regarding it ?

@Roy *******
you check the EMBASSY website, not the e-visa website. The embassy is the one who will receive your evisa application actually process it. It's what they require that matters.

So if I go Cambodia I check their embassy (Thai embassy in Cambodia), not my home country embassy, right ?

@Roy *******
Each embassy has their own rules and requirements. You check the embassy website that you will be using to apply because any other embassy's rules don't matter
