Hello all,

Thanks for all the help - lastly, is there any chance I could send my passport to Bangkok and authorise the HR lady of my university to extend the visa for me & send it back to me? Or do i have to be there in person?

Best,

Ema

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can send their passport to Bangkok and authorize their university's HR representative to extend their visa on their behalf. Responses indicate that it is generally required to be present in person for a visa extension, as one needs to provide photographs and signature verification. However, the user is encouraged to consult further with their university's HR department regarding their specific case.

Certainly talk to the HR dept of your university BUT as a rule you show up in person for an extension (even if it's just to get your photo and sign the paperwork where they tell you).

IF I had to guess I'd say you'll have to come back and get the year extension inked in, in person. BUT talk to the HR dept of your uni and see what they say..
