Hi guys, bit of an unusual question here. I just got my passport and visa back from the agency I used and my bank book has been stapled into the back page, its a retirement visa. Am I okay to take out the staple as I would like to use the book, or does it need to stay in with the receipt showing the proof of money in the deposit account? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring if it is permissible to remove a staple that attaches their bank book to their retirement visa passport. Responses from the community suggest that the staple is used to prevent the loss of the bank book and it's generally acceptable to remove it, especially since the associated receipt for the funds is also stapled. Some users emphasize the importance of keeping proof of payment, like the greenish-blue receipt from immigration, with the passport.

Just a tip. You should have a greenish-blue receipt with your name on it and the fee of 1900baht from the immigration office for the yearly extension of stay.
I ALWAYS staple that into my passport, to show I really paid for my extension.
