TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the possibility of proving one's residency in the UK without presenting flight tickets when applying for a Thailand visa. Several commenters suggest alternative documents like utility bills or a driver's license as valid proof of current location. However, they also advise that if flight confirmation is explicitly requested, it should be provided.
If you’re explicitly asked for your booking then you’ll have to provide that. If you just need a generalized proof of being in country the easy thing tends to be utility bills.
Anonymous participant 671 it said provide flight e ticket "if possible" - i provided proof that i am in the UK, as I already cancelled my previous flight on 31 December putting me £200 out of pocket.
Have you been asked to provide tickets to Thailand? Plenty of ways to show your current location such as driver's license, utility bill, picture in front of Big Ben with today's newspaper.
it said provide flight e ticket "if possible" - i provided proof that i am in the UK, as I already cancelled my previous flight on 31 December putting me £200 out of pocket. But the proof that i am in the UK is solid and includes time, date and location stamped photo of my latest credit card statement and a photo of me with the statement so im hoping that should suffice
