Can I obtain a multi-entry 6-month Thai visa back to back or is there a limit to how often I can apply for it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The ability to obtain a multi-entry 6-month visa (METV) back to back largely depends on the policies of your embassy. They have the authority to set their own regulations regarding the issuance of these visas. However, even if you manage to secure multiple METVs, frequent entries into Thailand may lead to complications, such as being questioned about your stay length and potentially being denied entry after extended periods in the country. Additionally, there are services available that claim to assist with entry issues, typically at a fee.

You can get it as many times as the embassy in Singapore will allow you. And no problem getting back in. Worse case you call an agent while in airport who will bribe your way in for around 8k baht. This is what we call the VIP service with agent which guaranteed you get in.

Depends on your embassy. Each embassy makes their own policies so it's up to them. But you might have issues getting into Thailand even with a METV because you can't live in Thailand with short term stays, and a tourist visa is a short term stay. Once you hit about 6-9 months you're probably going to start experiencing issues when entering and eventually be denied entry.

Brandon Thurkettle so why issue METV then

An METV is essentially a 6-momth visa, although it can be milked very successfully to get almost nine months stay from it. If you're doing back to back it's a red flag to immigration that you are working in the country. You might be able to get a second straight after the first, but even if you did, you can almost certainly expect some questions from immigration, and at worst, be denied entry

the MFA issues visas. They have your money.

Immigration is the one who decides if you get into the country or not. They are a different government agency and enforce their rules.
