Non o from UK.

Hi guys,

Can someone advise please regarding the 800,000 depositing to Thai bank. Two questions, can I make four deposits of 200,000 each time to make up the 800 and if I use Revolut does revolut show as an overseas transfer. Thanks in advance.
Answer summary
A user inquired about depositing 800,000 THB into a Thai bank account for a Non-O visa and whether they could split this into four deposits of 200,000 THB each. They also asked how using Revolut for these transfers would be recorded. Multiple commenters confirmed that splitting the deposit shouldn't pose any issues as long as the total is maintained for the required duration (two months). Revolut can show as an international transfer, but caution was advised regarding exchange rates and fees. The general consensus was that if the visa application is started in the UK, seasoning of funds isn't a major concern, provided the amount is present for the stipulated time.

Transfer directly from your bank in UK to the bank in which you have an account in Thailand. Revolut is of no use in the case you mention.

Jean Pacquement doing it that way will cost him a lot of money because of the exchange rate

If you apply for the initial 90-day Non-O in the UK, the only issue is two months' seasoning for the first year extension of stay. International transfers and separate transactions aren't an issue.

I’m don’t know how revolut work with transfers in to the country but if they work with partner banks you may see deposits as an “internal transfer”. You can always contact the initial bank to get confirmation that it was indeed an FET.

if you use wise, & put down for property purchase, it goes thru as an international transfer

I really don't want to go agent route as I will be using the 65,000 method for next extension

Depends if you’re getting the initial non O in the UK where source of funds are irrelevant or you want to transfer from a tourist visa or exempt within Thailand.

The latter maybe difficult if you don’t already have a Thai bank account. The former is usually irrelevant as long as you have the amount 2 months prior to applying for the extension.

Stuart I have Bkk bank account already I have this over two years now, thing is I'd like a separate account for visa use only, applying from uk

I know there’s issues with BKK bank issuing bank letters if you haven’t had the funds deposited for 4 months before applying. That’s a separate issue and bank related, not immigration related.

To answer the question about 4x200k deposits it shouldn’t be an issue but you haven’t said if you are getting th initial Non O from th UK or transferring to one here

If using an agent to fill out forms but using own funds should be no issue. If using agent to “fund” your application then there will be.

Sorry just seen the part you’re applying in the UK. Then source of funds for the 800k shouldn’t be irrelevant.
