Hi everyone

, I have a question regarding the conversion from tourist visa to a Non-O ( retirement) visa. Once the conversion is approved and I receive the initial 90 - day Non -O visa ( before applying for the 1 year extension) I'm allowed to leave Thailand during those first 90 days if I obtain a re-entry permit?. In other words can I travel outside the country and re-enter without affecting the process of applying for the annual extension?. Thank you very much in advance for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired whether they can leave Thailand after converting their tourist visa to a Non-O (retirement) visa, given they have obtained a re-entry permit. Confirmed by a response, it is permissible to travel outside the country during the initial 90-day period, as long as the re-entry permit is secured and the individual returns on time to apply for the annual visa extension.

Just a question many ask questions about retirement and marriage visas then in the next breath talking about leaving for a while.
