TLDR : Answer Summary
A US passport holder who arrives in Thailand on a 60-day visa can leave Thailand after the 60 days and is eligible to apply for a DTV visa from another Asian country. Many users recommend Vietnam as a favorable option for this process, while Indonesia is also noted for being hassle-free. It is important to note that applicants should keep in mind that a bank account is not necessary with the DTV application.
