Is it possible to do covid extension via agent? I know it's easy, just fill in forms, show up and pay. But I want to avoid the crowd... Any one did that?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to use an agent for the COVID extension in Thailand; however, this may involve additional costs. While using an agent can help you avoid the crowds, many commenters recommend that it's easy to manage the extension process yourself by going during less busy hours. Some warn that agents may charge significantly more than the official fees.

Yeah, there's plenty of agents ready to take your money, which is fine if you want to avoid the crowds, then pay up to 10,000 baht for a 1,900 extension. But Please, don't come back to this group later and complain about paying 400 baht entry fee to a national park! 🤣

Agents will certainly take your money. If you’re that way inclined then let them. It’s easy to do yourself. Avoid a crowd and go at 3.30pm. Avoid the “last day brigade” and go a couple of days earlier than needed.

Do you know if I were to go at 3.30pm will I be able to get the passport back same day?

you generally leave your passport there that day. With your ticket number you go back the next day to collect. In most offices you get a “under consideration” stamp saying to come back between 5-14 days to get the remaining 60 days stamped in. Each immigration office has their own procedures so it may well be different at yours.

What crowds are you talking about? Was in Phuket imm 2 weeks ago and it was tumbleweeds.

I was there both 16th and 23rd July. Both times were long queue, people jam packed in the room on 2nd floor. Both times unlucky maybe? What time were you there tho?
