TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether they can obtain a re-entry permit for their non-O visa at Don Muang Airport (DMK) after clearing immigration at Khon Kaen Airport (KK) on a flight to Singapore. Comments suggest that if the user has already completed immigration at KK, they may not be able to get the re-entry permit at DMK. It is advised to clarify immigration conditions beforehand and consider obtaining the re-entry permit directly at KK to ensure compliance.

I'm not sure what will happen at kk airport, normally I check in then check in again at either bkk or dmk but the last trip I had I cleared immigration at kk, like I said I wasn't aware it was possible at kk airport, after clearing immigration I was in departure gate all alone even although I was on the same flight with the rest of passengers going to dmk, once in dmk I was met by airport staff and was ushered to the departure hall for my flight so didn't see immigration at all in DMK. Anyway I got the re-entry stamp in immigration yesterday.

At DMK the re-entry permit office is immediately after passport control but before security. I'm not aware that there's an office in the transit area. So the question is; are you connecting (I.e. you have 1 ticket and you will receive both boarding passes in KK) or will you have to check in again at DMK? If it's the latter you'll be fine

Yeah the last trip I had from KK I cleared immigration there, but like I said that is the one and only time that has happened, I never knew KK had this option. I think I best go to immigration as just to make sure... thanks

If your really in transit, you've already cleared immigration in KK so no. If your just flying domestic to DM and then clearing immigration, then yes you can get one.

Question is, do you clear immigration in KK?

If you clear inmigration in KK you left si seems it would be too late when you got to DM.

I'll keep an eye out for any one else's input before I go to immigration.... cheers

That is a question I do not know the answer to, AND if the answer is no, I'd say you're better off going to the KK immigration office today and getting a re-entry permit so you don't cancel your stamp when you stamp out of the country.
