TLDR : Answer Summary
If you apply for a COVID visa extension before your current stamp expires on March 30, the 60 days will be added to your existing end date rather than resulting in a loss of days. It's advisable to apply as close to March 30 as possible, though there's no guarantee of extension approval.

lucky you! I went there yesterday, and first they wanted to add 60 days to the end of my extension that was coming to an end (making it ~90 days in total), but then changed their mind to offer only 60.

That's going to be between you and the immigration office :( I recommend going as close to March 30 as possible. There is *NO* promises they would grant that extension of stay. BUT I have not seen any formal rejections yet :)
