Hello- I have a DTV visa but upon checking my stamp in my passport they only gave me a 2 month visa stamp. I assume because I was with my partner who was getting a visa exemption they got mixed up and gave me the same.
Has anyone experienced this and know the best way to resolve- if I can do it at the visa office or does it need to be done anywhere else?
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user reports receiving only a 2-month stamp for their DTV visa instead of the expected 180 days. They suspect a mix-up occurred due to accompanying a partner with a visa exemption. Community members advise returning to the airport where the mistake happened, bringing proof of the DTV visa (such as a PDF printout) to rectify the stamp. It's emphasized that it's the visa holder's responsibility to ensure their documents are correct and that they should act swiftly to resolve any issues.
Return to the Airport and show PROOF (PRINT OUT the email you received with the DTV visa PDF) of having a DTV Visa, They will correct the stamp to show 180 days.
IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY... don't wait..get it corrected ASAP.
Did you enter your visa number on your DTAC? Did you hand the immigration officer a copy of your DTV? Passport control handle one adult at a time so how could they know or care who you are travelling with?
When u filled the tdac, did you state your visa number? If yes then you need to go back to the airport and correct the stamp, if not then I believe you should keep the visa exempt status and use the visa next time
