Im sorry to hear about your situation. My case is very similar with a lost passport.

I’m also waiting on my visa from Pretoria. Fingers crossed they will process everything before the weekend knowing there are 2 Public holidays next week.

Claudine Bean van RensburgI know the one admin lady said that if my school emailed them they can forward it to the officer so maybe get ur school to email them and say you need to start work asap you lost ur passport etc I kept emailing everyday

I only applied on 3 august and was hopeful for a quicker processing time. Never had this experience of the full 10 days with other visas through different embassies.

Thanks for the tip! Will definitely ask HR to get on them.

Claudine Bean van Rensburg I think that South Africa takes long but to be honest in Malaysia it’s long too cause I asked them to cancel my initial one when my passport got stolen in Malaysia they took long to respond .Wait the full 10 work days subtract public holidays and weekends and then that date you will get it or day before that date .Shame it’s frustrating I know hope yours pops through asap

Claudine Bean van Rensburgwhich date did you apply ?I applied two days before The holidays I had to wait till all three holidays was finished and still wasn’t done til yesterday I think also because remember Thailand and us are the busiest embassies so I think cause it’s going to be high season soon they must be busy with an influx of applications but sucks we gotta wait it out hope you gets urs too

theee is no fast-track for applictions to an e-visa. You can email the processing embassy that you need the visa ASAP. But I strongly doubt the embasyy will V-I-pee you .

Graham SealI’m a qualified teacher my company gave me everything so I know that the documents they gave me were supposedly accurate hence I am not sure why it’s gone back to stage one iv given them all the required documents I applied for my non be at the embassy in Pretoria

probably cause they checked my documents previously and asked me to attach the proof that I am in my own country applying I sent them that and they said they don’t need anything else so yeah I am abit lost but you could have a point

normally when a company provides documentation to allow you to apply for a Non-B visa outside of Thailand they are addressed to a particular consulate. That may cause you issues if you apply elsewhere.

The way the applications work is that a lower level member of staff does the initial check (pending document check) and then the send it to a more senior member of staff and at that point it changes to pending approval. It looks like the senior person has taken a look and asked the junior person to look again.

Peter Slamanbecause it was basically at pending approval and now it’s back at stage one pending document check it started there so makes no sense why it’s gone back .My two dogs and cat are stuck in Phuket without me I urgently need to get back to them and this has delayed me massively my passport got stolen in Malaysia when I went to apply for my non b .So I had to reroute back to South Africa and apply for a new passport and police clearance I applied on the 22nd already but I cannot wait much longer as my pets have no one to take care of them from Friday
