US passport holder. My METV is expired. My stamp date to leave is April 5th 2020. I have tickets to Indonesia, BUT if the COVID19 kicks off, and I have to stay can I extend? I have no overland crossings this year. What are my options? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US passport holder with an expired METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa) is seeking advice on whether they can extend their stay in Thailand beyond their stamp leave date of April 5, 2020, especially considering possible flight disruptions due to COVID-19. Users suggest contacting the US Embassy for assistance and exploring the option to extend the visa for 1900 THB at a local Immigration Office. It's also noted that extensions may be granted in light of the pandemic.

border bouce fly or overland?
Robert *******
if you did not apply after your last entry you can apply for a 30 day Extension of Stay.

For the rest, lets see what happens, no time to panic yet

You should also be able to extend your current entry for 1900 THB by another 30 days right now.

1. Border bounce. We don't know which one yet though.

2. Talk to the US Embassy about getting a letter explain that your travel plans have been impacted by the COVID-19. The Thai government will issue another 30 day extension.
