We just picked up our SETV (60 days) and we were told that if we wanted to extend our stay for an extra 30 days, we could do it right after landing in Bangkok from the airport immigration office. That would give us a total of 90 days. Have anyone done that before?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about extending their SETV (60 days) for an additional 30 days upon landing in Bangkok. However, comments clarify that the extension cannot be done at the airport immediately upon arrival; it can only be done at specific immigration offices like Chaengwattana once the traveler has 45 days or less remaining on their 60-day entry stamp.

Follow Ellie's advice. Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Buriram and Phuket allow you to apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less left on your 60 day entry stamp, other offices allow you to do it when you have 30 days or less.

Good Luck

You cannot do in Bangkok until you have 45 days or less. Also you have to go to Chaengwattana immigration office. You cannot get extension at the airport.
