TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about extending their 3-month Non-O retirement visa to a 1-year extension based on monthly income transfers of 65,000 THB, without holding a lump sum in their bank account. Community responses indicate that the extension is generally valid if one has had consistent international transfers of at least 65,000 THB monthly for 12 consecutive months. It's recommended to consult directly with the Immigration Office with relevant documents to verify eligibility. The application cost for the extension is approximately 1,900 THB.

I have never seen someone on a 90 day Non-O visa get a year extension based on monthly income from a country whose consulate here doesn't issue the income affidavit letter who had less than 12 months of incoming international transfers. (Not even once ๐Ÿ˜• )

I realize that it says in the police order for the first time the officers should show leniency BUT as I said, I have never seen nor heard of an instance where someone did it with less than 12 months of previous transfers.

wasn't leniency added/mentioned to allow for applications that were being processed in the first year of the new/updated police order?

it was indeed which was why I said this in the response

I wanted to clarify that it wasnโ€™t first time extensions, but first year of the new policy.

@Wannikea ********
i read that it was for first time yearly extensions once the new policy started. So anytime anyone starts the process and is getting their first yearly extension .

If you have 12 months worth of minimum 65,000 baht transfers into a Thai bank account which are notated as international transfers you qualify for the 12 month extension. These transfers must be one for each calendar month.

Perry Marlin. We don't know his history in Thailand. He might have been on covid extensions for 12 months, and was transferring money in readiness to get a real visa

The requirement is a minimum of 65.000 Thb a month.

If you reach that amount is for you to see, best is to take your bank book and passport and ask at the Immigration Office if your monthly transfers meet the requirement.

Cost of every application of Extension of Stay is 1.900 Thb, it does not matter if you get 30 days or 2 years or even when the application is not approved.
