Should I opt for a 60-day tourist visa or use two 60+30 day extensions in Thailand?

I will be going to Thailand within the month. Will stay for better part of what's left of this year. Is there a benefit on going over on the 60 day tourist visa or should I just use the two 60 + 30 available (fly in and border run). If I go next year will the tourist visa look better than 2 on arrivals?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is questioning whether to apply for a 60-day tourist visa for an extended stay in Thailand or to use the option of two 60-day visas with a border run for a longer stay. A comment suggests that the choice of visa may not significantly impact entry if the travel history is considered by immigration.

Doesn't really matter. They can see your history and know what you're doing. The only time the visa (sometimes) helps is when you've already spent a lot of time in Thailand and are trying to enter again.
