TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks about entering Thailand with a 45-day visa exemption plus 30 days (total 75 days) starting in mid-November and then doing a border run in January to obtain another visa exemption for the new calendar year. Comments confirm that this is possible as the 45-day visa exemption runs from October 1st to March 31st, allowing for border runs, but note that only two land border runs are permitted each year and that Myanmar borders are closed to foreigners.

You can do TWO LAND BORDER RUNS EACH calendar year .

Remember that Myanmar land borders are CLOSED to foreigners.

No more Mai Sai runs?

NOT ๐Ÿšซ now. All land borders to Myanmar are CLOSED to foreigners. AND with continued unrest in Myanmar, not likely to reopen soon.

the 45 day visa exempt entry program runs from today (Oct 1st) to Mar 31st, so it should be entirely possible to do what you outlined without much issue at all.
