This might be a silly question but I’ve done my 2 land border entries, but can I enter Malaysia via land & reenter Thailand via air? Does that count as an air entry or does it have to be both ways?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can enter Malaysia by land and then reenter Thailand via air after completing your two allowable land border entries for the year. While exiting Thailand by land does not count against your air entry, it is important to note that frequent entries without a valid visa can lead to questioning or potential denial of entry upon your next attempt.
You can exit by land as many times as you like. You can only enter by land 2 times in a calendar year using a visa exempt entry.
There’s no technical limit entering via air but at some point you’re going to be pulled aside and questioned why you’re trying to stay in Thailand long term without a valid visa, or possibly just flatly denied entry.
