Can I obtain another visa exempt entry into Thailand from Mae Sai after already crossing the border once this year?

Hi,

Iโ€™m currently in Chiang Mai on an extended 30 day visa exempt stamp which is valid until the 18th of Sept. Iโ€™m planning on leaving Thailand at the end of Oct. Would I be OK going to Mae Sai and obtaining another visa exempt entry? I have done this border cross once this year already. If so, what proofs will be required (if any) this time?

Visa History (UK Passport holder)

Feb - May - SETV + Extension

May - July - 30 Day Exempt + Extension (Mae Sai)

July - Sept - 30 Day Exempt + Extension (Issued at BKK by Air)

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 30-day visa exempt stamp in Chiang Mai, valid until September 18, and plans to leave Thailand at the end of October. They inquire about obtaining another visa exempt entry by crossing the border at Mae Sai, noting they have already done so once this year. A comment confirms that as long as the user's previous 30-day entry in July was by air, they are eligible for another land entry via Mae Sai without restrictions, since they are allowed two land entries per year.

Was ur second 30 days exempt entry this year by land or air (assuming the july entry).

U are allow 2x 30 days visa exempt LAND entry per year. So if ur july entry was by AIR u are still allow to do a 30 days visa exempt land entry, the border u choose don't matter u can do Mae Sai twice.

Xavier De La Cruz So u are allow to do ur second visa exempt entry by land and u can choose the Mae Sai border again. They won't ask u any *proof of*, it's just like the first time... 500 baht to cross, and that's it.

The rule is 2x visa exempt LAND entry per year, air visa exempt don't count, tourist visa also don't count even if u arrive by land on that tourist visa.
