TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to drive to the Laos border, enter Laos briefly, and then reenter Thailand. However, it's important to note that while many have done this successfully with minimal issues, some may suggest that Laos typically requires a minimum overnight stay unless using a visa run agency. Some individuals have reported making quick stops in Laos and returning without any problems.
Anonymous participant 474 as others have said, this is not true. I did the run couple of months ago, as I reported, 2 hours into Laos and then back again...no problem
Anonymous participant 474 not true, its for visaruns. DTV holder has a visa, so its only a border run. I have done it cambodia in feb and laos in 2weeks ago.
Anonymous participant 474 Laos doesn't require anything. It's the Thai side that requires it. And normally that's only for people trying to leave and return visa exempt (without a visa). If you have a visa, like DTV, you should be fine to bounce out and back immediately.
