Hi, just double checking something quick. I'm like 20k baht short for my Non-Immigrant O due to the horrible exchange rates currently, so I'm forced to do another border run.
I've only done one border run this year which I extended by 30 days and then another 60 days under "family extension" (my thai wife). I should still be able to do another border run, despite this 60 day family extension I've done, right?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can perform another border run for their Non-Immigrant O visa after having already extended their visa twice this year—once for 30 days and another for 60 days due to a family extension with their Thai spouse. Responses indicate that with the new 60-day visa exemption rule, the limits on border runs may have changed, allowing for another border run, but caution about the discretion of border officers is advised.
The money is stuck in euros and it's literally cheaper to do a border run right now rather than lose all that money on an expensive baht that's going to get corrected sooner or later anyways. For every percentage it moves, I get an additional 4k baht which is the cost of a border run.
how long do you expect to wait before you can send your EUR over? Trying to time my own transfer... I'm not in a rush, just wondering if I should expect to hold off a few more weeks or a few more months.
You're not wrong otherwise I'd be a forex millionaire hahah, but this case was a little exceptional as the thai baht hit near record heights. With a dollar going for just 31.2 baht a few weeks ago, the entire economy was in jeopardy as it would kill off exports and businesses. The fed has since adjusted it slightly.
With the new 60 days visa exemption rule in effect, apparently the rule of 2 land border bounces is out of the book right now. So you should have no problems. Still depending on today’s officers mood of course. Maybe use a border bounce service to have a smooth sailing.
Definitely! I got one in mind I used last time. I just had to double check here in regards to the prior family extension as it might be an extension they're not too familiar with
should NOT be a problem. AVOID POIPET BORDER CROSSING. Use an experienced border run service company to take you to the Thai border and back in the same day. They will know what you need to do. Child does not need to border bounce as there's NO fine for a child under age 15 on OVERSTAY.
