Can I do a border run to Cambodia after my visa-exempt status expires and return to Thailand on the same day?

ORIGINAL POSTER
My 30-day visa-exempt status expires on Thursday 22nd September (having already been extended once at the Immigration Office on the 24th August). I was slightly late when extending the first time (due to illness) so had to pay a fine.

My two questions are:

(i) am I able to perform a ‘border run’ to Cambodia, get stamped out of Thailand and then walk back across the border on the same day to begin a fresh visa-exempt cycle?

(ii) will it be an issue for the immigration officers at the border post that I was slightly late in extending previously?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can conduct a border run to Cambodia to reset their 30-day visa-exempt status, given their current visa-exempt status expires soon and they had previously overstayed and paid a fine. They also want to know if their previous late extension will cause issues at the border. A comment suggests that doing a border run should not pose problems, especially if they choose the right crossing that allows same-day returns.

shouldn't have any issue going to a border stamping out of thailand, BUYING a visa on arrival to Cambodia, stamping in and out and then stamping back in to thailand.

keep in mind that IF you use the Aranyaprathet/Poipet you have to stay over night in Cambodia but Ban Pakard & Ban Laem will let you out and in the same day.
