Hi everyone!

About education visa transfer within Thailand , still confused…

Could we convert from “ผ.60 - ม.17 “to Ed visa ( age 14 with school letter )

Or we need to change to “ non o “visa first and wait for 30 days to apply for Ed visa ?

Thank you 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about converting their current visa categorized as 'ผ.60 - ม.17' to an education visa. They are unsure whether they need to switch to a non-O visa first before applying for the education visa. A comment clarifies that direct conversion from one non-immigrant visa to another (like non-O to non-ED) is not permitted. Instead, the user's school will be able to provide specific guidance on whether a conversion is possible and the requirements involved, including needing 14-21 days left on their current stamp.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.

If you convert to non-O you won't be able to convert to non-ED, because you cannot convert from one non-immigrant visa to another.

The only way to know if you can convert to non-ED is to ask the school. The school will know if they can support an application to convert to non-ED, and they will know if their immigration office allows it. You will also need 14-21 days remaining on your existing stamp at the time of application in order to apply, or they will not accept your application at the immigration office.
